The following is a letter from the Hoosac School , where we performed our pilot program.

To Whom it May Concern
I am writing this letter in response to a performance given by the Bob Stump Band on May 23, 2017 at the Hoosac School in upstate New York. The performance was arranged as part of our school's Ann Gray Parshall Lecture Series, which seeks to enrich the school's community and to support its educational mission by bringing in guests to offer their unique perspectives and experiences. As one of the music teachers at Hoosac School, I am well acquainted with the musical abilities and interests of our students, but I have to say that I was not prepared in the least for the level of excitement and enthusiasm elicited by the band's performance.
The performance was structured as a geographical and chronological tour of American vernacular music. It began by highlighting the blues and Appalachian folk music and moved from there to cover country music, rock and roll, bluegrass, rockabilly, and even contemporary R&B. In addition to its accessible educational component, the performance was entertaining and inspiring, enrapturing both our students with and without existing musical interests.
Furthermore, the performance highlighted the unparalleled appeal of live music for an age group (our students are between the ages of 14 and 19) who are more used to getting their music from their phones. As part of their performance, Bob and his colleagues welcomed members of the school community to join them onstage for a several numbers. By the end of the show, I have no doubt that our students left the auditorium more informed, inspired, and joyful than they entered it. I would highly recommend this performance to any interested educational or community institution.
